Home computer / game console, 1982, Commodore. The MAX Machine (Ultimax in North America, VC-10 in Germany) was sold in Japan from November 1982 as a cheap games machine built around the same VIC-II and SID chips as the Commodore 64, with only 2 KB of RAM, a membrane keyboard and cartridge software. It sold poorly and was withdrawn within a year.
