Personal computer, 1991, Atari. The Mega STE puts the electronics of the STe into the grey desktop case of the TT, with a detachable keyboard. The 68000 can be switched between 8 and 16 MHz, with a cache to speed up the faster mode, and the machine gains a 1.44 MB floppy drive, a VME expansion slot, a SCSI interface for an internal hard disk, a second serial port and a LAN port. It was the last 68000-based ST and was aimed at offices and music studios.
