The Netra brand has been used by Sun since 1994 for servers aimed at network and telecom applications: the first Netra models were repackaged SPARCstations and Ultra workstations sold with pre-installed web, mail and firewall software, later followed by the NEBS-certified rack servers for telephone exchanges (Netra t1, T1, 20, 240) and by the Netra X1 low-cost 1U server of 2001.
