Educational toy, 1980s, Texas Instruments. The Grillo Parlante Pił is the later Italian version of the Speak & Spell line, with the redesigned case of the mid-1980s models, a larger vocabulary and additional games. Like the first Grillo Parlante it pronounces words with a speech synthesizer chip and asks the child to spell them on the keyboard, showing the letters on the display.
