Portable computer, 1984, Corona Data Systems. The Corona PPC-400, later sold under the Cordata name after the company was renamed, is a luggable IBM PC compatible in the style of the Compaq Portable, with a 9" amber screen built into the case and the keyboard clipping over the front. Corona was one of the earliest PC-compatible makers and this machine has an 8088 at 4.77 MHz, 256 KB of RAM and two 5.25" drives, with a high-resolution 640 x 325 text display that was sharper than the IBM standard.
