Personal computer, 1984, Tatung. The Einstein was designed in Bradford and built in England by the Taiwanese group Tatung, aimed at small businesses and serious home users. It is a Z80 machine with 64 KB of RAM, a built-in 3" floppy drive of the Hitachi type also used by Amstrad, the TMS9129 video chip of MSX machines and a CP/M-compatible disk operating system called Xtal DOS. A second drive, an 80-column card and a keyboard-integrated design made it a capable small business computer, but it sold poorly against cheaper home computers.
