Modem, 1982, Commodore. The VICModem (model 1600) was one of the first modems priced under US$110 and made telecommunications popular among home users: a 300 baud user-port modem for the VIC-20 and Commodore 64 that connects to the telephone through the handset cord, with manual dialling.
