Home computer, 1983, Tangerine Computer Systems. The Oric-1 was the British answer to the ZX Spectrum, launched in early 1983 with a 6502 processor, a proper sound chip, a real (if rubbery) keyboard and a Centronics printer port, at a price close to the Spectrum's. It was sold in 16 KB and 48 KB versions, mostly in the United Kingdom and France, where it was popular; a flawed ROM and unreliable cassette loading damaged its reputation and led to the improved Atmos a year later.
