IBM 5161 Expansion Unit, double Hard Disk Chassis for IBM PC

Expansion unit, 1983, IBM. The 5161 Expansion Unit is a second case, the same size as the IBM PC system unit, that adds eight expansion slots and two drive bays to a PC or XT through an extender card and a receiver card connected by a thick cable. It was sold with a 10 MB fixed disk to give the PC a hard disk, and it could hold a second one. This unit is configured with two hard disks.
