Video game console, 1986, Atari. The 2600 Jr is the small, low-cost version of the 2600 produced by the Atari Corporation of Jack Tramiel to keep the old console alive next to the 7800. The case is a slim box with a chrome-look strip and a rainbow logo, the cartridge slot is on top and the controls are reduced to three buttons. It sold for under US$50 and remained in production until the early 1990s, with a few new games released for it.
