Sun SPARCstation 2

Workstation, 1990, Sun Microsystems. The SPARCstation 2 is the pizza-box workstation with which Sun dominated the Unix market of the early 1990s: a 40 MHz SPARC processor in a flat desktop case with SBus expansion slots, up to 64 MB of memory, SCSI disks and Ethernet, running SunOS 4 and later Solaris 2. Over half a million were sold and it was, for years, the reference machine of universities and software houses.
