Personal computer, 1981, Xerox. The 820 Information Processor was Xerox's first personal computer, a CP/M machine built on a licensed version of the Big Board single-board computer, with a Z80, 64 KB of RAM, a 12" monitor showing 80 x 24 characters and external 5.25" or 8" floppy drives. It was sold to businesses through Xerox's office equipment channels with WordStar and the Xerox word processing software, and it was superseded in 1982 by the 820-II.
