Portable computer, 1985, Sharp. The PC-7000 is a luggable IBM-compatible with a fold-down keyboard and a 10.5" supertwist LCD, one of the first flat screens of that quality on a PC, showing 80 x 25 characters at 640 x 200 with a backlight. It has an 8086 at 4.77 or 7.37 MHz, 384 KB of RAM and two 5.25" drives, and an optional printer and hard disk could be attached to the base. It sold well in the United States as a cheaper alternative to the Compaq Portable.
