Subnotebook, 1992, Olivetti. The Quaderno (PT-XT-20) is an A5-sized IBM compatible weighing about one kilogram, one of the first subnotebooks. It has an NEC V30HL processor, 1 MB of RAM, a 20 MB hard disk, a 7.5" monochrome LCD and a small keyboard, and it runs MS-DOS 5 with a set of built-in organiser programs. A microphone and speaker with a dictation function let it be used as a voice recorder even when switched off. Designed by Michele De Lucchi, it won several design awards.
