Personal computer, 1986, Apple. The Apple IIGS ("Graphics and Sound") is the most powerful Apple II: a 16 bit 65C816 processor, 4096 colours, an Ensoniq wavetable sound chip with 32 voices and a Macintosh-like graphical interface, while staying compatible with the 8 bit Apple II software.
