Amstrad PPC640 Portable computer

Portable computer, 1988, Amstrad. The PPC640 is one of the two first portable PCs by Amstrad, derived from the PC1512/PC1640 desktops. It is a large clamshell with a full-size keyboard, a 640 x 200 monochrome LCD, two 3.5" floppy drives, a built-in 2400 bps modem and an 8086 at 8 MHz with 640 KB of RAM. It runs on ten C-cell batteries or on the mains, and an external monitor can be attached. The PPC512 is the same machine without the modem and with 512 KB.
