Personal computer, 1977, Apple. The original Apple II, launched in June 1977, was one of the first successful mass-produced microcomputers: colour graphics, sound, eight expansion slots and Integer BASIC in ROM, in a moulded plastic case with integrated keyboard designed by Jerry Manock.
