IBM 5161 Expansion Unit for PC, with 10 Megabytes Hard Disk
Expansion unit, 1983, IBM. The 5161 Expansion Unit adds eight expansion slots and two drive bays to the IBM PC or PC XT through an extender card in the computer and a receiver card in the unit, connected by a cable. It was the way to fit a hard disk to the original PC, whose power supply could not drive one. This unit is in the standard configuration with a single 10 MB hard disk.
