Atari 800 XL

Home computer, 1983, Atari. The 800XL was the best-selling model of the Atari 8-bit line. It combines the low-cost styling of the XL series with 64 KB of RAM, Atari BASIC in ROM, a monitor output and the Parallel Bus Interface, while keeping compatibility with almost all software written for the 400 and 800. It was Atari's answer to the Commodore 64 during the price war of 1983-1984 and sold in large numbers in both the US and Europe.
