Video game console, 1983, Mattel Electronics. The Intellivision II is the smaller and cheaper redesign of the Intellivision, in a white case with detachable controllers and an external power supply, introduced in 1983 to lower production costs. It is compatible with the original games apart from a few titles from other publishers, which Mattel had tried to lock out with a modified ROM, and it was sold with the System Changer that plays Atari 2600 cartridges.
