Video game console, 1978, Philips. The Odyssey 2001 is a dedicated console of the Philips Odyssey line based on a National Semiconductor game chip that offers tennis, hockey and squash in colour with on-screen scoring, with two detachable paddle controllers. It was one of the last Pong-type consoles sold by Philips in Europe before the cartridge-based Videopac.
