Video game console, 1977, Philips. The Odyssey 2000 is a dedicated "Pong" console of the Philips/Magnavox Odyssey line, sold in Europe, with three games (tennis, hockey and squash) and a practice mode generated by a single game chip, colour output and two detachable paddle controllers. Like all consoles of this type it cannot take cartridges; it was replaced in 1978 by the programmable Videopac G7000.
