Home computer, 1986, Philips. The VG-8235 is Philips' MSX2 computer, developed and made by NEC, with 128 KB of RAM, the Yamaha V9938 video chip with 80-column text and 256-colour graphics, and a built-in 3.5" floppy drive in a flat case with a detachable keyboard. It was sold in Europe with MSX-DOS and MSX BASIC 2.0, and a version was sold in Italy under the Phonola brand. The single-sided 360 KB drive was its main limitation compared with the later NMS 8250.
