Kaypro 4 Portable Computer
Portable computer, 1983, Kaypro. The Kaypro 4 is a luggable CP/M computer in a steel case with the keyboard in the lid, built by Non-Linear Systems to compete with the Osborne 1; it has a larger 9" screen and double-sided floppy drives that give twice the capacity of the Kaypro II. It was sold with a large software bundle including WordStar, the Perfect series and MBASIC, and Kaypro's reliability and full-size screen made the line one of the best-selling computers of 1983. The 1984 revision of the Kaypro 4 added a faster processor, a modem and graphics.
