Digital Alpha Server 3000 model 800 flamingo II
Workstation, 1994, Digital Equipment Corporation. The DEC 3000 Model 800 (code name Flamingo II) is the top desktop of the DEC 3000 AXP family, the first generation of workstations and servers based on the 64-bit Alpha processor. It has a 200 MHz Alpha 21064, up to 1 GB of memory, a TURBOchannel bus for graphics and I/O and SCSI disks, and runs OpenVMS AXP or DEC OSF/1 (later Digital Unix). The 800 was sold both as a workstation and as a departmental server.
