Sinclair ZX Interface 1 for Spectrum

Interface, 1983, Sinclair Research. The ZX Interface 1 plugs under the back of the ZX Spectrum and adds the controller for up to eight ZX Microdrives, an RS-232 serial port and the ZX Net local area network, originally designed for classrooms. It extends Sinclair BASIC with commands for the drives and the network, and it was the base of the Spectrum's first mass-storage system.
