Video game console, 2001, Nintendo. The GameCube was Nintendo's console of the sixth generation, a small cube with a carrying handle that used 8 cm optical discs of its own format instead of DVDs. It has an IBM PowerPC processor and ATI graphics, four controller ports and a connection with the Game Boy Advance, and its library includes Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It was released in Japan in September 2001, in America in November and in Europe in May 2002.
