Silicon Graphics Iris Octane 2

Workstation, 2000, Silicon Graphics. The Octane2 is the improved version of the Octane, SGI's dual-processor workstation for high-end 3D, in a blue and grey tower with a crossbar architecture in place of a shared bus. The Octane2 has a revised power supply and system board, the VPro graphics cards (V6, V8, V10, V12) with hardware texturing and up to 128 MB of graphics memory, and MIPS R12000 and R14000 processors. It was the standard workstation of visual effects studios and CAD departments in the early 2000s.
